Place of the month: Sanabria's Lake, Spain

The largest glacial lake  in Spain - at 318,7 Ha and 53 m2 maximun depth- Sanabria is a gorgeous lake surrounded by a beautiful landscape, a great place to escape for some days. If in summer and if you don't mind cold water, you can swim, but you can also kayak, enjoy the great cuisine in the area and visit the most beautiful tiny villages that have stood the test of time.

Sanabria's lake is actually part of a Natural Park with the same name, Parque Natural del Lago de Sanabria, located in Zamora, northwest Spain, near Portugal.

I enjoyed this pink-clouded sky while watching the sunset

Next day I will post some pictures of day time and tell you a bit more about the interesting villages that surround it.
